- Welcome and introduce new students to UCLA.
- Familiarize students with academic requirements, college rules and regulations, scholarship requirements and degree requirements.
- Suggest courses and class sequences to balance academic loads according to skills to enhance learning.
- Describe the classroom experience for a UCLA student.
- Plan and present workshops and facilitate discussions.
- Conduct tours of the campus and inform students of UCLA history, tradition, and pride.
The Orientation Assistants work within the
office, helping to run the administrative aspects of the program as well as
counseling family members at Family Orientation. Some job responsibilities include:
- Welcome and introduce families/guests of incoming students to UCLA.
