All undergraduate School of Engineering and Applied Science (HSSEAS) students are assigned an academic counselor in the HSSEAS Office of Academic and Student Affairs. Students can meet with their HSSEAS academic counselors for academic advising and counseling by appointment in the Office of Academic and Student Affairs or on a walk-in basis. In addition, the computerized Academic Program Planner (APP) is available to all HSSEAS students. This interactive self-advising program informs the student immediately if his or her planned academic program meets curriculum requirements and also can be used to check student study lists and grades. The HSSEAS Office of Academic and Student Affairs is the engineering student’s source for information, not only for academic advising, but also for questions pertaining to scholarship opportunities, scheduling, petitions, HSSEAS events, policies and procedures.
For eligibility requirements and course descriptions, see the UCLA General Catalog or the HSSEAS Announcement. For information on the Dean’s Honors List, see the heading “ACADEMIC AWARDS AND HONORS.”
