Parking on the UCLA campus is very limited. Student parking is assigned through an application process and a need-based point system. Students are assigned points based on the information provided on their student parking application such as class standing, commuting distance from campus and employment or professional school obligations. Only a limited number of permits are issued to students each quarter. Students are encouraged to ride-share. UCLA offers a number of ride-share options including carpool permits, the Bruin Go! transit pass program, Go Metro, and the UCLA Vanpool program. See the Transportaion Services website for more information.
Student Parking Application forms can be obtained either online or by contacting the Parking Services Office. Students are strongly encouraged to apply by the deadlines:
Fall Quarter - July 28, 2006
Winter Quarter - October 27, 2006
Spring Quarter - January 26, 2007
Carpool permits are guaranteed to all 2 or 3 person carpools who submit their applications prior to the deadline. If applying for a carpool, all applications MUST be submitted together either in person or via U.S. Mail. If you are a student interested in forming a carpool and need assistance in finding other students within your commuting area, please call (310) 794-RIDE and request a free RideGuide.
All students with disabilities, with or without a DMV placard or a disabled person's license plate, should contact the Office of Students with Disabilities at (310) 825-1501 to request parking.
