The commission is comprised of twenty student-initiated and student-run service projects, making it one of the largest student-initiated and student-run service organizations in the country. Students in these projects organize themselves to tutor, provide services to the local homeless population, work with abused children, address the health needs of certain ethnic communities, support young people’s dreams through mentoring, dispel stereotypes of the developmentally disabled community, and provide service alternatives during Spring Break.
