The Campus Events Commission works to bring enjoyable, interesting, and sometimes controversial programming to the UCLA community. It is responsible for hosting a weekly $2 film series in Ackerman Grand Ballroom (2nd Floor Ackerman Union) and frequently brings free sneaks to campus. In addition, each new quarter features free concerts housed in the Cooperage (Ackerman A Level) and in Westwood Plaza, while CEC’s Speakers staff arranges talks given by an eclectic mix of luminaries. It also has Web, Ads, and Publicity staffs to ensure the students know about the exciting events.
