As a political, cultural, community service, and social network, APC unites over 20 Asian Pacific Islander (API) organizations on campus to represent and advocate for the interests, needs, and concerns of API students and communities. In addition to addressing contemporary issues, APC strives to promote and preserve API cultural heritage and history. In all our endeavors, APC strives to promote education as well as develop leadership skills that will benefit students, the UCLA community, and the larger API community.

Asian American Studies is an inter-disciplinary department promoting the study of Asian American and Pacific Islander people in the United States. Courses examine the important issues and concerns of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, including their history, social organization, culture, and intra/inter-group relations.
ASIAN AMERICAN TUTORIAL PROJECT

AATP is one of the largest and oldest community service projects at UCLA. Along with Occidental College and USC, UCLA AATP is a one-on-one tutorial and mentorship project that benefits underprivileged children at Castelar Elementary School in Los Angeles’ Chinatown. Student volunteers help students with curricula in reading and math and help them develop social skills.
